Online Professional Development
The Clark County School District (CCSD) Online Professional Development (OPD) department develops, creates, and offers online professional development courses for all CCSD district staff. We are bringing professional development into the online arena to offer educators an alternate avenue for professional development. OPD hopes to overcome obstacles such as, substitute teacher shortages and freezes, the large geographical area, and the increase in transportation problems of the Las Vegas valley. These training opportunities are available to CCSD staff anytime, anyplace using a myriad of advanced technology tools and resources. OPD offers complete K-12 training, as well as training in most subject areas. The addition of online professional development courses will occur every year.
